Before we start work, we agree an engagement letter with you. That letter sets out the specific services, fees and payment terms for your work, and it takes priority over these general terms if the two differ.
About us
Leon Accountants Limited is registered in England and Wales, company number 14030889, registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. We work from 1a Jubilee Avenue, London Colney, St Albans, AL2 1QG. We are an AAT licensed accountant, licence number 1008201, and are bound by the AAT Code of Professional Ethics.
Our services
We provide the accounting and tax services set out in your engagement letter. We carry out our work with reasonable skill and care. We do not provide investment, legal or immigration advice.
Your responsibilities
You remain legally responsible for your own tax returns and filings, even where we prepare them. You agree to give us complete and accurate information in good time, to review anything we prepare before it is submitted, and to meet the deadlines we tell you about. We are not responsible for penalties or losses caused by information that was wrong, incomplete or late.
Identity checks
The law requires us to verify your identity before we act for you, and from time to time afterwards. We cannot begin work until these checks are complete.
Fees
Our fees and payment terms are set out in your engagement letter.
Confidentiality
We keep your information confidential except where the law or our regulator requires disclosure, or where you allow it. How we handle your personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy. The AAT may inspect our client files as part of regulating licensed members.
Ending our work
Either of us may end the engagement by giving reasonable written notice, as set out in your engagement letter. You will need to pay for work done up to that point. We will help hand over to a new accountant once any outstanding fees are settled.
Complaints
If something goes wrong, please tell us at info@leonadvisers.com and we will look into it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can refer your complaint to the AAT at aat.org.uk.
General
Our advice is for you alone and no one else may rely on it. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
Our immigration services are provided by a separate company, Dusk Immigration Ltd, which has its own terms.
